Community Carols

On Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th December, we transformed our outdoor spaces at Willow Dene Swingate Lane and Willow Dene Oakmere road, in preparation to host our local residents and school community for our Christmas Carol events.

We were joined by local residents, children, families, staff and governors, who all braved the cold in search of some Christmas spirit! We all gathered around our fantastic musicians and sung a range of uplifting carols and Christmas songs under the twinkly fairy lights. For those who couldn’t join us in person, we live streamed both events, with families joining us from the warmth of their homes, whilst too singing along!

From Jingle Bells to Silent Night, White Christmas to Let it go, we all sung with joy and enthusiasm! Some even managed to reach the high notes of Mariah Carey’s All I want for Christmas!

After a good sing, it was time to warm up with some hot drinks and refreshments. Everyone left the evening feeling full of mince pies, Christmas cake and festive cheer. It was wonderful to open our outdoor spaces once again to our community and though it may have been cold outside, the grounds of Willow Dene were filled with warmth and laughter.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in person and virtually. A special thanks to our fantastic musicians and catering staff!
