We are excited to be able to tell you about Toucan. Toucan provides child care for children who are two years old and who have a complexity of need.

Toucan is based at Willow Dene School (Swingate Lane), the Royal Borough of Greenwich’s primary special school, with a wealth of experience and expertise in meeting the needs of children with a wide range of special educational needs.

Toucan provides an environment which is safe, stimulating and nurturing.  Children and their families are at the centre of everything we do.  Time, care and support are our priorities. We have built-in capacity for child centred planning according to need with flexible hours and timings.

We are a team of exceptional practitioners working as part of an extensive multi-disciplinary team of specialists. Our area of expertise is working with very young children who have complex needs. Toucan is led by an experienced early years teacher and a skilled team with specialist knowledge of early child development.  There is a high ratio of adults to children.

Children will be supported to move on to their next setting by the staff team in Toucan who will also write each child’s detailed observations, two year report and play passport.
